Renowned for Lakadong turmeric, she received the 'Padma Shri' for her impactful work. The Lakadong variety, with a GI tag, is prized for its high curcumin content and medicinal benefits.

Mrs. Trinity Saioo, a remarkable individual, embarked on her farming journey initially as a means to support her family, seamlessly balancing her roles as both a part-time farmer and a dedicated teacher at a village school in her district. Over time, her passion for the agricultural sector blossomed, leading her to impart invaluable knowledge to local farmers about the significance of adopting organic methods in cultivating Lakadong turmeric. Her efforts bore fruit, literally and figuratively, as the farmers in her district witnessed a staggering threefold increase in their income. Mrs. Trinity Saioo's commitment to selflessly uplift the livelihoods of her fellow farmers has earned her widespread acclaim.
